Oh, how I wish adrien brody'd play Joe. I think the problem would be solved if they found someone to play young joe then someone to play old Joe, but then I guess we'd lose that continuity.
Well I mean, can you think of an actor who can play BOTH ages???
the problem is Joe is already pretty old in the beginning... I hate the "Seabiscuit" and "Internal Affairs" effect--two totally different people playing someone at 15 and at 30, which spoils the whole movie. It works if the young character is under 10, I mean, but not like when the person's 15.
It would be easier if they got a young person to play older, instead of having Adrien play younger of course. But who knows what they're gonna do in the movie, maybe they'll only make the first half of the book or something, in which case u'd only need a young Joe.
OK I meant "Infernal Affairs." BTW, I've always thought "Infernal AFfairs" is a brilliant name for that movie.
omg omg omg, ok I know it's totally unrealistic of me to wish brody would play joe, (given everything you've said) but this is just too cool not to mention.
From imdb:
"Performed magic shows at children's birthdays as a child, as 'The Amazing Adrien'."
what the heck that's freaky. u know, the main reason he fits Joe so well is he looks so depressing a la the Pianist (which btw I haven't seen b/c I dun want to be all depressed), other than the fact that he fits the physical description. Poor Rosa.
